Evaluation Task 5

I asked 4 males and a female 5 questions about my film opening. Their ages range around 16-18, which I thought is perfect for my target audience. One male is doing media too I thought it would benefit me, seeing what another media student thinks of my work. From what they told me they both liked my opening and the music fitted in well, and it was very intense.

Questions:
What did you like about my film opening?
What do you think could be improved?
Do you think not knowing the identity of the antagonist is effective (or not) and why?
What is your opinion on the music?
Would you carry on watching (or not) and why?

Evaluation Task 3

As I stated previously in my construction, I had chosen my production company to be 'Spyback'. This was because I was taking inspiration from other films and using them to create ideas of my own. I was inspired by New Line Cinema for the black background, and added the glasses in to an effect as if a person is spying on something.

I think if I were to chose a media institution to distribute my film, it would have to be New Line Cinema. In my film I said they presented my film, however I think they would choose to distribute it as well. This is because I think New Line Cinema is a company that distributes and presents many different films including the genre that I was going for, which was detective who done its. An example of this is the film Se7en, as they presented them.

Se7en is a film I was hugely inspired by as the film opening/credits and the whole film itself was really interesting and shocking. The ending was unexpected and fitted in nicely with the whole storyline. From my research I found out they also distribute films, so I think they would distribute my own as it is the type of genre they would go for.

Another company I think could distribute my films is Universal Pictures. From my research I saw that this company has made a lot of money and distributed many popular films such as Mamma Mia. This company has distributed in films in many different genres, such as crime, thriller and drama and others, but these mainly relate to the Gangster genre. They also distributed American Gangster, so I think they would distribute my crime-Gangster film.

The funding for the film would come from The National Lottery Microwave scheme as they are a big popular funding company, achieving successful distributions in the UK.
